A common thread running through our history is one of continuous improvement, and we continue to attract the brightest and best talent in digital product design and development.
So it’s important to us that we do all we can to support our people in doing the best work of their life here at Made by Many.
Three disciplines.
No barriers.
At Made by Many, we beleive that being a generalist with deep knowledge is highly valuable both to us and to our clients. And that kind of curiosity and adaptability is better fostered by thinking about career development in terms of disciplines rather than job titles.
We divide our practice into three disciplines: product design, technology, and product management and strategy.
Our professional development handbooks set out 6 levels for each of the three disciplines, and allow people at Made by Many, if they wish, to choose a career path that might combine one or more disciplines.
Core skills and shared skills
For each of the disciplines, there are 4–5 core skills:
Design
Core design skills, research and insights, creative problem solving, prototyping and visualisation, production and delivery
Technology
Technology consulting, QA, technology practice, architecture, DevOps, technology leadership
Product Management and Strategy
Vision and discovery, proof of concept, go to market, transform and grow
And there are five shared skills common to everyone at Made by Many: presentation and communication, teamwork, mentorship, networking and recruitment, and Made by Many and our industry.
We use the the handbooks and the skills guides to set professional development goals for people in each of our three disciplines, and we encourage and support all of our employees to give and receive feedback regularly.
