Unbillable Hours is our weekly round-up of what we’re doing when we’re not working on client projects, plus our most-talked-about Slack links.

Welcome to this week's journey through Made by Many Slack channels, I'll be your guide today.

Text from #unbillable

Our #unbillable Slack channel was taken over on Tuesday by the discussion about design and designers, and it all started with @p_p_hamilton tweet and the article it links to.

Some good points were made, both about design and designer culture, some fashion axes were shared and all ended up well, we’re all still friends.

Asbury & Asbury wrote a great blog post about how modern marketing trends make brands start conversations that we don’t want to be a part of.

As some of us are still playing Crossy Road, it was interesting to read how the game came to life. It’s a really good read about adding your own twist to a game with classic mechanics and making money in a way that doesn’t repel gamers.

We also got to know what tipples we’re going to enjoy in 2015, checked how well do we know Kanye West, enjoyed the new Nobrow App (even if some of us don’t like iPads). I personally was amazed by the idea of shape-based walks.

For those of you who like architecture and want to have part of brutalist London or modernist Warsaw on your own desk we recommend getting one of these paper miniatures.

In the meantime, our folks in New York are trying to survive The Coldest Day of Winter.

Music from #music-i-like

We enjoyed some pre-release listening of Pops Staples new album (you can find it on Spotify now, if you're interested).

Owen recommends going to The Tallest Man on Earth gig while Mike was amazed by Duke Garwood live performance.

Events in #london

Wednesday was a guest-heavy day at The Wharf - first we had a group of Product Design students from Glasgow visiting our office this week, learning about the made by many way and doing a small workshop.

And in the afternoon our offices welcomed the Codebar crowd learning about the basics of programming and web development.

Next Thursday is Front-end London day - we’ve got Jack Franklin talking about EcmaScript 6 modules, Ana Gasston about optimising your website for search engines with Schema and Bodil Stokke will tell us about functional programming in JS.

Stuff by #devs

As some kind of exploration/side project myself and Nelson started playing with Unity and Google Cardboard SDK, therefore this happened quite a lot at the end of the week:

Gif of the day

And at the end of the post, one... final... gif (provided by Matt).
