Unbillable Hours is our weekly round-up of what we're doing when we're not working on client projects, plus our most-talked-about Slack links.

Yep, another week, another Unbillable Hours and it's me again to give you the run down of what's been doing the rounds in NYC and London this week.

Things we're reading

A hot topic this week has been the Conservative party's ludicrous plans for banning encryption in the name of protecting against terrorism. There are no words.

We've also been discussing the news about Teenhan & Lax's move to Facebook. Bit of a shocker that one. We particularly enjoyed UsTwo's attempt to poach any staff who aren't heading over.

Speaking of UsTwo (I think I might get in trouble for mentioning them twice in one post) we've been reading about the amount Monument Valley cost to produce and the fascinating insights it gives into sales on the Play Store & App Store (plus a 95% piracy rate on Android).

Why early blindness prevents Schizophrenia - Being born blind risks autism but protects against its opposite: psychosis. This interesting study concludes that it must be brain changes that occur with early blindness—not blindness itself—that protect against Schizophrenia.

We've been meditating on pain... - “Once, when the pain came, I grabbed for a knife, my fist tight around it, contemplating digging out my right eye. I was twenty-one.” A must read for anyone that doesn't understand migraines.

We've also been reading the about climbing El Capitan's hardest route, The Dawn Wall. To be honest I much prefer the way Spock does it in Star Trek V with his levitation boots....

Things we're (I'm) eating

I finally went to Roberta's pizza and devoured the best Pizza of my life. Wow. Sorry Franca Manca, I love youbut you wouldn't cut it over here.

Things we're doing

Tom, Paul and I went to see Louis CK at Madison Square Garden this week and we all laughed for an hour straight. If you've never seen the show Louie before, it's well worth a look.

And at London they've been much more serious, getting up to some early morning and evening Yoga led by Owen...

It's been a fantastic week at Made by Many, with good news of both sides of the Atlantic so we're all looking forward to hitting the pub / bar this evening and celebrating with a glass or two of dutch wine.
