We're looking for a bright, curious, and enthusiastic Design Intern to join us in our New York studio this summer.

For this internship, you'll team up with an Engineering Intern and a Product Management intern to design, build, and launch your own digital product. Throughout the process, you'll gain first-hand experience using the same design tools and methods we use everyday, including user research, collaborative sketching, and rapid prototyping. In the end, you'll walk away with an amazing set of skills and a real product to call your own.

You'll spend the summer here in our SoHo office. It's a fun, start-up environment where you'll work alongside a tight-knit group of designers, engineers, and product people. You'll also be assigned a personal mentor to help you grow and develop new skills along the way. It's an amazing opportunity to be part of a growing studio, all while learning how innovative products and services are created.

To see what this looks like, check out this blog our interns created last year, and take a look at Hackaball, a connected device conceived by a few of our interns in London.

What you need to know:

  • Internships usually run for 3 months (start/end dates are flexible)
  • This is a paid, full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • We require that you work here, physically, in our New York studio
  • We can help with housing if you need a place to stay
  • Design education is a plus, but by no means a requirement
  • We are currently only accepting U.S. residents

If you...

  • are passionate about design, research, and human behavior
  • are eager to create new experiences and test them with real people
  • enjoy working alongside designers, engineers, and product managers
  • like paper prototypes as much as digital interfaces
  • feel naturally at home in an open, team-based, and highly collaborative environment

... then this might be the job for you.
