What we look for in
product managers

Our product managers are as enthusiastic about figuring out long-term goals, objectives and roadmaps as they are about planning the next sprint and making sure user stories are articulated, estimated, prioritised and understood by everyone.

They come from a huge range of backgrounds, though typically with a minimum of 2–3 years experience as a product manager. Very occasionally we hire people with no pre-existing product management experience but who might have gained some of the relevant skills in another role, perhaps as a digital producer or project manager – or someone who’s had exposure to other aspects of technology or design processes.

Product management responsibilities

Product managers at Made by Many have a broad remit, and the following isn’t intended to be an exhaustive list. Nevertheless, it should give some sense of the scope of a typical product management role here.

  • designing research programmes to explore innovation opportunities
  • running qualitative research to understand customer needs
  • identifying new and innovative product propositions
  • defining MVPs that balance customer and business needs
  • product analytics and definition of success metrics
  • planning and running agile projects and processes
  • running quantitative and multivariate testing
  • developing client and stakeholder relationships
  • writing proposals for prospective clients

We have an active professional development programme designed to support our people in doing the best work of their life here at Made by Many, with a dedicated track for product managers centred around the responsibilities above.
