We’re looking for an Engineering Intern with a passion for building products to join our team in New York over the summer.

For this internship, you'll be teamed up with a Design Intern and a Product Management Intern to design, build, and launch your own digital product here in our New York studio. Throughout the process, you'll gain first-hand experience using the same tools and techniques our Engineers use everyday, including user research, rapid prototyping and Agile product development methodologies to craft great products.

Although you'll be part of an independent team, you'll also have the support and guidance of a personal mentor who will teach you the skills needed to build and iterate on products in small, multi-disciplinary teams. At the end of the summer, you'll walk away with a new set of skills and you'll have your own product to show for it.

We're looking for an Engineer with a skillset that ideally includes experience with HTML, CSS, JS and a server-side language like Ruby or Node JS, but we're open to other skillsets too. Any experience with mobile development in iOS/Android is a huge plus.

Our office is located in the heart of SoHo. It's a fun, collaborative environment where you'll work alongside a tight-knit group of designers, engineers, and product people. It's an amazing opportunity to be part of a growing studio, all while learning how innovative products and services are created.

To see what this looks like, check out this blog our interns created last summer, and take a look at Hackaball, a connected device conceived by a few of our interns in London.

What you need to know:

  • Internships usually run for 3 months (start/end dates are flexible)
  • This is a paid, full-time position (40 hours/week)
  • We require that you work here, in-person, in our New York studio
  • We can help with housing if you need a place to stay

If you...

  • are technically curious about the way digital products work
  • love building hacks and prototypes
  • are eager to craft new experiences and test them with real people
  • feel naturally at home in an open, team-based, and highly collaborative environment

...then this might be the job for you.

This job posting is no longer active.

Here at Made by Many, we're open to all applicants. If you're interested in this position but uncertain if you’re qualified, please contact us anyway.
