Check out all the cool things that we're talking about at the Made by Many offices. On the agenda this week: Big Data conundrums, iOS permission experiments, weapons of mass creation, Moomins, skateboarding and Turkish flatbreads.

Tweet at @zociechowska if you'd like us to know about your cool thing.

What are we doing to become better workers/human beings?

A couple of us will be going to This Happened, an event series that focuses on the stories behind interaction design. The next one is at the V&A in London on August 16th.

We wish we were going to Weapons of Mass Creation in Cleveland, a 3 day celebration of creativity in art, design, music and business.

Which articles are causing a stir in our office?

Smart things in a not-smart world - A call to remember what technology can't do. (Btw, did you know that there are only 12 quiet places left in America?)

Design culture is a frozen shithole- Only we can toss the mantle of bullshit that design has taken on.

Hold the Phone: A Big Data Conundrum - Harvard Professor of economics Sendhil Mullainathan has some surprising findings on the planned obsolescence of the iPhone.

The right way to ask users for iOS permissions - Something we've experienced first-hand when testing and designing an app for ITV.

I want it, and I want it now - An overview of the new instant gratification economy in tech.

Powerful and Coldhearted - Are the powerful heartless beings incapable of empathy?

Equation to predict happiness- UCL researchers have come up with an equation which shows that moment to moment happiness reflects not just how well things are going, but whether things are going better than expected.

The Fasinatng ... Frustrating ... Fascinating History of Autocorrect - On the origins of autocorrect and why it still comes up with absurd shit.

What's on at the cinema?

Moomin and Midsummer Madness - For the die-hard Moomin fans in the house.

All This Mayhem - A documentary about Australia's infamous pro-skaters, Tas and Ben Pappas, and how they've had to return to normal life after a tumultuous career filled with wild rides, drugs and jail time.

How are we entertaining ourselves?

Tim's Faces - Angry customer feedback that takes the form of disfiguring CEO Tim O'Toole's face in Photoshop anytime this passenger's First Capital Connect train is delayed.

We've been taking disappointing iPhone pics of the supermoon. Here are some more successful attempts.

What kind of art and design are we stroking our chins to?

This past week Ryoji Ikeda's Spectra has been shining brightly across London. Some of us have taken a closer look too. It's wonderful.

What are we eating this week?

Saray Broadway Cafe - A classic greasy spoons cafe on Broadway Market that has two friendly women making their own Turkish gözleme on a traditional dome-shaped hot griddle. Apart from the gözleme being huge and delicious, it's also a bargain at £2.

And we're still eating more ice cream to the tune of this great Jonathan Richman song.
